The Aardvark Jazz Orchestra performed original works by founder/music director Mark Harvey. The concert featured a tribute to the late master storyteller, Brother Blue, entitled Blue Butterfly, and a work called Blues for Mary Lou, celebrating the centennial of jazz great Mary Lou Williams (1910-1981). The program also included several world premieres, including music in celebration of the passage of health care reform.
